So far we've had a great response to running a series next year. The format will be as follows:
5 rounds, consisting of two 2 day events at the start and end of the championship and 3 single day rounds. We are waiting on the BRCA RX section to decide dates and then we will finalise our dates. The only date that is confirmed at this stage so far will be round 1 which will be at Herts and will be 2nd and 3rd of May. Its 4/5 to complete the championship.
The tracks participating in next years series are:
HNMC, Deerdale, Coventry, NNRC and Clanfield.
The two day events will be held at HNMC and Clanfield.
The commitee I'm glad to announce is as follows:
Vice Chair and Southern & Central Track Safety Officer - John Geaves,
Northern Track Safety Officer - Andy Beaumont (Shrek!)
Track Safety Officer - Martin Withey
Track Safety Officer & Rules Officer - Marcus Mainwaring* (TBC)
We are still looking for someone to cover Media, if you are interested please let us know, need help to take pictures and complete race reports for the various online formats.
We will shortly be posting an registration of interest to gauge numbers, its imperitive that you register for this as we really need to have 90 racers to make the series viable.
Additionally, many of the tracks we race at are finding it harder and harder to keep their tracks in the best of condition. I would like to make a call for support for these tracks and for you to help them on track work parties in the spring of next year and leading up to the events. Too many of our great tracks are down to a handful of individuals with support thinning out, this is bad for all of us. We will be looking for support for the Herts and Clanfield rounds for sure to ensure the tracks are in the best condition.
We are also looking for sponsors for the clubmans championship, this doesn't cost much as we simply look to cover the cost of trophies. Please contact me if you are interested.
