Hello
We've updated this timetable based on some feedback. Apologies for any confusion (its the first time I've ran a Xmas Tree Race!)
Round 1 is to be held at the World Famous Herts Nitro Model Car Club. For directions please Click Here (http://www.uktruggypro.com/index.php?page=directions)
Please note that for the entire weekend there is absolutely NO frequency clearance. All radios (inc 2.4GHz) all frequencies, all day. We have around 90 drivers using 2.4G (which is fantastic) however with around 70 channels available there is a high chance that we run out of frequencies. Therefore absolutely no radio equipment should be turned on unless you are actually racing. Anyone seen with a transmitter on in the pits or whilst waiting for their race to start will lose their best time. Repeat offenders will be disqualifed - there will be no warnings.
Format for this meeting is Xmas Tree Style finals. We are using Round by Round scoring for qualification and the best qualified driver is promoted straight into the A final. The TQ driver will be given a 10 minute practice session with the semi finalists just before the quaarter finals start. Each race up to the semi finals sees 6 drivers from each individual race promoted to the next round. The top 6 drivers from each semi final wilol be promoted to the grand final with the final place going to the fastest 7th across both semi's.
Note also that race order for the heats is done in this order:
Round 1: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,
Round 2: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 1
Round 3: 5, 6, 7, 8, 1, 2, 3, 4
Round 4: 6, 7, 8, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Round 5: 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Marshalling for the heats is as per usual, you marshal your car number in the following heat. In Round 2 Heat 2 is marshalled by the drivers from Heat 1 etc.
**NOTE** Xmas tree finals are slightly more complicated than regular finals all drivers should ensure they pay attention at drivers briefings to understand how the finals work.
The Xmas tree finals require all drivers within the current race to provide a marshal for their position.
Therefore if you are car 5 you must also marshal position 5. As all drivers are in the same boat it will require drivers to work together to ensure that we are able to race. Spend day one working out how you are going to race day two - the commitee will ensure that all drivers marshal throughout the day.
During the finals it is imperitive that there are no major delays to allow a reasonable timed finish. All drivers should ensure they have a few battery packs for their trucks and their transmitters and are able to change them quickly between finals.
