Why are there no tracks north of Coventry / Nottingham, was last years ruling not that there had to be one round north of Manchester.

Neil - primarily because of the lack of suitable tracks and demand in the region. 2 years ago I made a pledge to hold a round in the North as there was a lot of people not happy about there not being a North round. Last year we selected a track in the north. Unfortunately the turnout was the lowest we have had (and many of the people attending had driven from the south).

Nice work Neil, looking forward to it and plan on dragging a few more south of the border next year.

Any chance for a link to J12 M40 website? not sure if that's what the club is called but the fellas at google cannae find it.

Cheers

I see just like the Rally x section the truggy section have had no thought for people in the north.

Have the Romans rebuilt Hadrian's wall just north of Nottingham.

a bit off topic but but dose any one no the ratio of sutable tracks above nottingham to the amount below as i have no idea and on every web site this seams to be an issue along with the rallyx .i was one of the drivers that went to norc last year nearly 6 hr drive to a well organised track but a little on the small side for a truggy nat imho

Mark, no we just pick the tracks to wind up the Northerners - no other reason :D

[btw that was sarcasm].

I'll be at every round, no matter where it is - same as last year!

Only 6 hrs to NORC Mark?! You must've been shifting! Took us nearly 8 from Gatwick :)

It doesn't really matter where the rounds are to me - aside from Clanfield even Herts is an overnight and anywhere further afield is basically a weekend away (well that's what I tell my wife anyway!)

Looking forward to registering in the New Year and loading the car up :D

Ifor one think that a great set of tracks have been throught of and they run along the middle of england so no matter where you are there will be a round about 2 hrs from most people . I for one will be doing a few for the first time ,

Could be this one??? http://www.j12radioraceclub.co.uk/

But it don't work for me!! So what is the track /club like then???

And if Adrian E drove that fast it would have cost way more than the £160 it cost in fuel to get to Durham.

Seeing how I cant seem to create a new thread in any section ( neil?) ill have to add it here !

Had a few hours today lifting and moaning up at deerdale with the new rostrum ! The guys last week did a hell of a lot and a lot today ! The new rostrum is looking awsome ! Its way big plenty of space for all even me ! :)

There is a oneway system in place 2 lots of steps going in and two lots inside so in one way and out the other ! Lots of painting to do and as i left the steps were already on the entrance and hand rails were going on ! Here is a couple of pic's so you can see the size ! No roof yet but thats to come. It is an insulate artic trailer so it should be lovely a warm in winter !!

[a] Cars shall be a reasonable representation of the style of truck used for off-road, desert
or trial racing.
[b] Bodyshells should cover the entire chassis and exhaust pipe of the truck. Shock towers
should not be exposed.
[c] Openings may be cut in the shell to allow access to fuel filler, exhaust exit, switch and
engine adjustments. Clearance around such items shall be kept to a minimum.

Oh dear ! does this mean the Losi 8T2.0 is illegal ?? :p

this is a very good point, the losi qute clearly doesnt meet the rules. Could we just have clarification though asap please as ive just order a losi 8t2

Neil McRae
15-05-2009, 12:56
Its not just the Losi We had this raised to us. I wrote this rule which was specifically aimed at preventing RallyX cars/shells being used.

Having looked at the Losi and the other truggy affected we decided that this was within the spirit of the original rule. I will submit a rule adjustment at the next AGM about the rear shocks. For the avoidance of doubt, the Losi 8T Mk2 is fine to use at UKTruggyPro 2009.

Thanks for the reply neil.

In my honest oppinion i think the new losi has taken it too far and no longer resembles the body of a truck enough, but hey i want to run one so i wont complain too much :p

Are you kidding, the new Losi 8T2 shell looks more like an american pick up truck (flat bed) than any other shell on the market.
